The F28 is fitted with a gustlock system which is used to lock the flying controls in a neutral position when the aircraft is on the ground. This also limits the throttle movement to approximately 80% HP RPM. Ensure the gustlock lever on the aft pedestal is in the OFF (down) position prior to takeoff.
The F28 also fully simulates triple redundancy flight controls, therefore, the effectiveness of the flight controls will vary depending on the status of the hydraulic system. With full hydraulic pressure, the flight controls will operate normally with full effectiveness. With no hydraulic pressure, the flight controls are operated manually via the control tabs.
