v0.3.4 - 2026/07/30

New Features:


1. The long-awaited analog instrument panels have arrived. This major free update introduces five completely new analog panel configurations, allowing pilots to choose the avionics package that best matches their preferred style of flying:


   * PMS50 GTN 750

   * TDS GTN 750Xi

   * Working Title GNS 430

   * Working Title Avidyne IFD550/540

   * No-GPS configuration


- Each configuration features a fully redesigned analog cockpit with traditional flight instruments, authentic avionics integration, functional circuit breakers, custom electrical behavior, and extensive TrueSim system logic.


- Additional analog aircraft variants are also included with optional nose-wheel steering and turbocharged engine configurations, providing a wide selection of cockpit, engine, and ground-handling combinations.


- The EFB also automatically adapts to the currently loaded aircraft configuration. Systems and options that are not installed or supported in a particular variant will either be unavailable or clearly marked INOP. For example, oxygen-system maintenance options are not available when using the analog aircraft configurations.


2. The Flysimware Hardware Binding Manager has been moved directly into the aircraft’s EFB. All existing hardware bindings are carried over automatically, so previously configured controls will not need to be reassigned.


- Moving the binding manager into the aircraft provides faster and smoother operation while allowing each aircraft to maintain its own dedicated hardware configuration. This replaces the previous system that was shared through the MSFS 2024 Widgets UI.


Updates:


1. The realistic primer system has been revised to no longer rely on a simulated fuel valve. Primer lockout is now handled through TrueSim logic, allowing the fuel pumps to show pressure correctly while still preventing the engine from starting when primer requirements have not been met.


2. Canopy logic has been updated. Previously, the canopy could be opened at any time. It can now still be opened during taxi at speeds up to 25 knots, but above 25 knots, airflow will automatically push the canopy down to a slightly cracked-open position and prevent it from opening farther.


Bugs:


1. Engine failure logic has been restored for severe maintenance degradation. If engine condition reaches the failure threshold due to low oil or other maintenance-related causes, TrueSim will now correctly stop the engine as intended.


2. Fixed an issue introduced in v0.2.8 where the new integrated Flysimware Hardware Binding Manager, built directly into the MSFS 2024 Widgets UI, would not function when loading the Starhawk variant. The hardware binding manager now operates correctly across all aircraft variants.

v0.3.3 2026/06/30 

Updates:


1. Added a hidden click wall to prevent the rudder pedal adjustment lever from being clicked through the panel. The lever can now only be adjusted when it is physically visible from a lower camera angle.


Bugs:


1. Fixed an issue where the canopy pump switch and canopy seal switch audio would play twice when operated. This was caused by recent changes made to support the separate analog cockpit canopy switches and has now been corrected.

v0.3.2 HOTFIX - 2026/06/28

Updates:


1. The speed brake system has been updated to prevent operation using the default MSFS spoiler bindings. Speed brakes now operate only through the cockpit switch or the included Flysimware hardware bindings, ensuring they correctly respect electrical power and system failures. Due to an MSFS limitation with the new modern hydraulic system, there is currently no way to define the spoilers as electric-only like the older legacy system allowed. Because of this, electrically actuated speed brakes cannot stop in a partially deployed position when power is lost. Instead, they will complete their current travel to the last commanded position and remain there until electrical power is restored. We have reported this limitation to Asobo and requested support for electrically controlled spoiler operation in the MSFS 2024 modular systems.


Bugs:


1. Fixed the landing light switch logic after the new hardware binding update. The landing light switch now uses a dedicated template to support its unique three-position behavior with two ON positions, which resolves issues that could occur depending on whether the aircraft was loaded cold and dark or from the runway.


2. Fixed the hardware binding fuel selector not updating the aircraft fuel selector correctly. The mouse interaction continued to function normally, but hardware binding inputs were not properly communicating with the fuel selector logic. The template has been updated so hardware binding and mouse inputs now remain synchronized and correctly operate the fuel selector.

v0.3.1 HOTFIX - 2026/06/27

New Features:


1. Added a new EFB Options setting to show or hide the Tank Timer / Temperature gauge. Hiding the gauge also powers the unit off and disables the timer alarm. This setting is saved and restored automatically for future flights.


Updates:


1. Updated Alternator 2 logic. As a reminder, the backup alternator is not only a backup alternator, but also a supplemental alternator. The caution appears when Alternator 2 becomes active because the main alternator is not producing sufficient voltage. This update fixes the Alternator 2 switch logic, so if the switch is off, Alternator 2 remains disabled and will not activate.


2. Updated the Variant images on the Aircraft Configuration page to make it much easier to quickly identify the desired aircraft. Each Variant now includes feature decals at the top of the preview image, highlighting the equipment and options included with that specific configuration.


Bugs:


1. Fixed a major issue with maintenance reset buttons sometimes not responding.


- We received several reports that some maintenance actions, such as filling the oil or performing other individual maintenance resets, would sometimes do nothing unless a full Master Reset was performed. We finally tracked this down to a ground-speed requirement that checked for less than 1 knot of indicated airspeed. In Microsoft Flight Simulator, wind can cause this value to read above zero even when the aircraft is not actually moving on the ground. This has now been corrected by removing the unnecessary speed requirement, allowing the maintenance reset buttons to work properly while the aircraft is parked.


2. Fixed landing lights not working due to recent hardware binding system code changes.

v0.3.0 HOTFIX - 2026/06/26

Bugs:


1. Fixed an issue where the left fuel tank was not draining due to a typo introduced while upgrading the modern fuel system configuration. As part of the new fuel system improvements, the unnecessary fuel selector valve used for the OFF position was removed in favor of a more realistic implementation. The configuration typo has now been corrected, and fuel is now drawn properly from the left tank. To help prevent similar issues in the future, the modern fuel system graph editor has been updated to automatically reject spaces in component names, eliminating this type of configuration error before it can occur.

v0.2.9 HOTFIX - 2026/06/26

Bugs:


1. Fixed an issue where the canopy would not fully close depending on which clickspot was used. Whether interacting with the interior center handle or the exterior canopy decal, both now correctly close the canopy completely.


2. Fixed an issue introduced after updating the fuel system to remove the unnecessary fuel valve used for the OFF position. The primer system was still referencing the previous valve assignment, which prevented the engine from starting when loading on the apron. The primer now uses the correct valve assignment, and normal engine starts have been restored.

New Feature:


1. Flysimware has introduced a brand-new integrated Hardware Bindings Manager, built directly into the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Widgets UI. This feature allows users to assign supported aircraft functions without requiring any external software, making it available to both PC and Xbox users. To our knowledge, this is the first hardware binding system of its kind to be built directly into an aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or 2024. Please refer to the User Manual for instructions on where to access the Widgets UI Hardware Bindings Manager and how to configure your hardware.


- Nearly all of our switches, buttons, and controls can already be assigned using the default Microsoft Flight Simulator hardware binding system. We went an extra step by adding many of these functions to our Hardware Bindings Manager to make setup faster, easier, and more organized, without requiring users to search through the simulator’s default binding menus.


- We have also included support for aircraft-specific systems that cannot be assigned through the default controls, including Modern Fuel System selectors, custom electrical system switches such as the Essential Bus, and multi-position switches such as the Landing Lights and Navigation/Strobe Lights. These dedicated bindings provide more accurate switch synchronization, proper cockpit animations, and support for custom aircraft systems that are not available through the default simulator bindings.


2. You can now click the GPU plug location inside the engine compartment as a clickable hotspot to show or hide the GPU. This allows you to connect or disconnect the GPU directly from the aircraft without needing to open the EFB tablet.


Updates:


1. Removed the G3X EGT low-temperature caution when exhaust gas temperature is below 915°F. Low EGT should not trigger a caution message.


2. Adjusted the GPH green range so it now begins at 1.8 GPH. This keeps fuel flow in the green at 1,000 RPM and above, while still allowing it to fall into the yellow below 1,000 RPM.


3. Updated the backup Alternator 2 system logic. The ALT 2 active caution light will now come on whenever the main Alternator 1 low-voltage caution light is active. The backup alternator is smaller and may not provide enough power below about 1,900 RPM, so the battery can continue to discharge at lower RPM. Above about 1,900 RPM, Alternator 2 can provide enough output to help support the aircraft’s electrical demand.


4. Added default binding support for the avionics switch and fuel selector, allowing both controls to be operated using standard simulator hardware bindings.


5. Flap control behavior has been improved for mouse control, the new hardware binding software, and default simulator bindings. When the flap control is released, the flaps should now stop within about one second and avoid traveling past the intended target position. The real Lancair Legacy flap system is designed to allow any position, but flight simulator limitations only allow a fixed number of physical flap positions. We are using 5-degree steps from 0° to 40° to match the aircraft’s maximum flap angle as closely as possible. This is an improvement, but it will never be perfectly continuous like the real aircraft.


6. The propeller governor has been retuned to provide more realistic operation during the propeller governor check performed as part of the engine run-up. You can now bring the engine to 1700 RPM and cycle the propeller lever three times to circulate warm engine oil through the governor and propeller hub, with the expected RPM drop as the blades move toward a coarser pitch. Previous tuning favored additional propeller control resolution around typical cruise RPM settings, but further review showed that the minimum governed RPM also needs to support proper propeller cycling and run-up behavior. Once our Legacy pilot returns from his trip in the next few days, he will verify the real aircraft’s minimum governed RPM and propeller control travel around 2500 RPM so we can fine-tune both areas more accurately.


Bugs:


1. Fixed a bug where the propeller lever could start in the cutoff position when loading on the runway. It now starts in the full forward position as intended.


2. Corrected tooltip text for the updated cabin climate control system, including the new air conditioning vents, heater vents, and updated panel vents.


3. Fixed the autopilot pitch wheel direction when using indicated airspeed mode. The wheel now commands the correct nose-up and nose-down behavior.


4. Fixed a bug where the Alternator 2 caution light would activate incorrectly based on RPM. The caution logic now follows the updated backup alternator behavior.


5. Fixed a bug where both alternator switches were not loading into the correct state for cold and dark or other saved flight scenarios. They now initialize correctly based on the selected flight state.


6. Fixed the strobe light effects so they now work correctly during the day. The strobe lights were previously fixed for nighttime use, but were only working during dawn, dusk, and night. The navigation and strobe light effects were also slightly increased in brightness and scale for better visibility between day and night conditions.

Updates:


1. Updated the eyeball vent modeling and animations. The outer vent ring can now be rotated clockwise to close the vent and counterclockwise to open it. Opening and closing each vent now controls whether air can enter the cabin through that vent. Please review the user manual for full mouse-drag instructions, including images for both Lock and Legacy mouse interaction modes, to make adjusting the outer vent ring easier and more accurate.


2. Added adjustable vent direction with limited movement range, allowing each vent to be aimed within a realistic angle.


3. Revamped the climate control logic for a more realistic cabin temperature simulation. AC, heat, outside air, and canopy position now blend together naturally, with airflow affected by vent position, fan speed, engine operation, aircraft movement, and canopy opening.


4. Added save-state support for all climate controls. Vent positions, fan control, temperature control, and heat position control will now retain their previous settings instead of starting from default values.


5. Updated the navigation and strobe light effects so the light orbs are scaled more appropriately.


6. Updated the G5 airspeed tape to match the recent G3X airspeed tape change, with the green arc now ending and the yellow arc now beginning at 220 knots indicated.


7. Renamed the engine priming option to **Realistic Prime Start** for better clarity. When enabled, the engine requires the correct priming procedure based on temperature, especially in colder weather. Please review the user manual for instructions, or the engine may not start correctly.


Bugs:


1. Fixed an issue where the navigation and strobe light bulbs could still appear illuminated at night after aircraft power was turned off.

 

2. Fixed the tooltips for the temperature control knob, temperature valve knob, and fan control knob. These now correctly display percentage values instead of degrees.
