An alternative texture set for our PA-38 Tomahawk (MSFS) can be downloaded from the 'download' buttons below. This alternative texture set reduces the resolution of some of the larger cockpit textures, which should lead to a slight increase in FPS/performance.

After downloading the correct textures for the simulator being used, simply drag and drop the chosen texture set into the following file directory and overwrite the existing texture files when prompted: ...\Community\justflight-aircraft-pa38\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_PA38\texture.VC

Once downloaded, the files need to be placed in the following file directory: ...\Community\justflight-aircraft-pa38\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_PA38_Tomahawk\texture.VC

A restart of the simulator will be required in order for any texture changes to take effect.

To return to the original cockpit textures, download the latest installer from your account, run the installer and select the 'Reinstall to repair any damaged or missing files' option.

For MSFS 2024 users ONLY, if the optimised texture set has been added to the package, then the package's layout.json file must be updated to account for the differences in the package contents. If the layout.json is not updated, the product will not function as intended. The easiest way to update the layout.json is by using the community-created "MSFSLayoutGenerator" tool: https://github.com/HughesMDflyer4/MSFSLayoutGenerator. Once the tool is downloaded, simply drag and drop the package's layout.json file (located at: ...\Community\justflight-aircraft-pa38) into the MSFSLayoutGenerator.exe and confirm the "Date modified" date on the file has been updated to the current date/time.
